Emily is an expert in travel and security risk - specialising in developing bespoke Duty of Care solutions that are proportionate and appropriate for each individual client. Emily has travelled extensively around the globe and has used this experience to support solution development in the areas of travel tracking technology, journey and crisis management.
Working with medical partners, Emily has helped develop a truly unique and joined up medical and security service to simplify risk management for our clients. Emily and her team look after clients across the corporate, Oil & Gas, insurance, media, charity, scholastics and maritime industries.
She is a keynote speaker at industry and client events and before joining Solace, Emily held prominent roles within the risk management and maritime security industry. During her degree in International Marketing Management with French, Emily spent a year living and working in the South of France, hence she is still a French speaker.
Following a successful career as a non-commissioned officer in the Royal Marines and UK Special Forces, Martin has worked as a security consultant and advisor to military units, governments and blue chip companies. His time in the Special Forces and his consultancy work has given Martin a wide and varied skill set with genuine global experience. After a period spent working in the Middle East, Martin took the opportunity to join Solace Global Risk as Head of Operations, developing into Operations Director. Martin is responsible for ensuring that operations are delivered efficiently and professionally.
Having started as an Operations Manager at Solace Global in September 2015, Shari has fulfilled roles in both intelligence and operations departments. Now as a Customer Success Manager, Shari is able to combine both skill sets, keeping Solace clients and staff safe wherever they are in the world, empowering individuals and organisations to conduct business trips worldwide whilst maintaining high customer expectations throughout. Great customer experience is something we pride ourselves on and is fundamental to our client’s success, starting at initial conversations right the way through to the task in hand, Shari is there to provide excellent service every step of the way. A few of her key responsibilities include smoothly on-boarding new customers to our services and software, implementing all client specific requirements and the management and success of all accounts. Client safety is at the forefront of Shari’s focus, providing training and assistance to all customers, whether that be for use of our platform, Solace Secure, or safety awareness whilst travelling abroad, or organisation or situation specific training, Shari is able to provide the confidence travellers need. Shari has degrees in both International Studies and Political Science (with distinction) from Stellenbosch University in South Africa.
Since joining at the beginning of 2016, Chris has lead the organisation’s application development and cyber security systems management at Solace Global. Chris has a BA Hons degree in Leadership and Management and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). His broad background in software development and experience in leading transformational technical projects in SMEs and PLCs helps to ensure secure & innovative IT solutions are delivered to the highest quality.
Client safety when out on the ground is paramount to Solace Global, therefore the Response Managers keep a watchful eye over all our customers and their every move as they travel around the world. Our team of Response Managers provide the 24 hour coverage in the Solace Global Operations Centre; monitoring global events, overseeing live journey management tasks, and responding to SOS from our travellers worldwide. By inputting alerts into Solace Secure, travellers are kept up to date with developing security situations and what the current risk level is. Response Managers continue to ensure clients in an affected area are safe, and provide security advice and support to those who need assistance.
Paul has the responsibility for setting the strategic direction for the maritime business and for the quality of service delivery to new and existing clients. He successfully maintains and manages our global client base. As a self-motivated individual with high standards, he has over the last 5 years worked his way from a Solace Global Team Leader, delivering maritime security services, through to his role as Managing Director. Through his positions he has gained excellent leadership and man management skills, all of which started in the Royal Marines.
Chris is a former Royal Marines Commando of 5 years, with an infectious personality and a wealth of land and maritime operational experience. Joining Solace in 2010 as a Maritime Security Team Leader, Chris enjoyed a varied three years at sea providing security solutions to some of world’s leading vessel operators. Chris's valuable experience at sea allowed him the opportunity to become a member of our Operations Team, where he was responsible for delivering maritime security services around the globe. Chris now is the Operations Director for the maritime division where he actively maintains client relationships through regular communications and client meeting in the UK and Europe.
