What Impact Will Ukraine Invasion Have on Trade and Travel?

The Russian invasion of Ukraine which began last month, despite tense negotiations designed to try and avoid such a scenario, has begun to lead to a wholesale recalibration of how global transportation functions. Some of these impacts were quickly felt, such as flight bans across Russia, but the longer-term impacts are still being worked out.

Others have had a much less immediate impact but are no less impactful. This advisory will look to explore some of the impacts to global transportation networks that the Russian invasion has had, and how they are likely to be affected longer term because of the conflict in Ukraine.
