Terror Attack in St Petersburg

At about 1440 local time (1140 GMT) on 03 April 2017, an explosion occurred on the subway of downtown St. Petersburg. The blast occurred on the third car of a train between the stations of Sennaya Ploshchad and Tekhnologichesky Institut, after it had left Sennaya Ploshchad. 14 people have been confirmed dead and another 49 have been confirmed injured in the attack. A second, larger device, disguised as a fire extinguisher, was later deactivated at Ploshchad Vosstaniya.
