Senior Account Executive

Solace Global Risk Ltd. is recruiting a Senior Account Executive to generate new leads and relationships with potential clients, create opportunities within untapped areas of the risk management industry.

The company:

Solace Global is a global security company which specialises in risk management, maritime security and cyber security. The role is for the Risk Management division which enable businesses to operate safely and compliantly through tracking technology, intelligence, 24/7 response and full crisis management and global security capability.

The Role:

As Senior Account Executive, you will support the Head of BD with the ongoing sales strategy within the risk management department, with full autonomy to make a significant impact in a well-established, yet rapidly expanding business. The role requires a senior candidate, with at least 5 years’ experience within the risk management industry and a minimum of 4 years’ experience in business development and/or account management.

Your key responsibilities will be to generate new leads and relationships with potential clients, create opportunities within untapped areas of the industry and develop outstanding rapport with new and existing clients. You will be supported by an experienced business development assistant, marketing manager and customer success manager, and will report directly to the Head of BD.

The Senior Account Executive will have a target for new business with an excellent commission scheme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand the Solace offerings and service lines in detail, help promote these and grow these in line with client needs and market changes
  • Find new opportunities and leads
  • Understand the current business pipeline and identify other potential areas for growth
  • Effective use of CRM system to record all client/potential client discussions, requirements, and feedback
  • Drive revenue and profit growth through effective sales
  • Build and maintain an in depth understanding of our target audience and our competitors
  • Retain, manage, and grow existing clients
  • Support BD and Marketing during webinars, conferences, and events
  • Support and lead on pitches, presentations, or demonstrations
  • Support Customer Success Manager with client renewals 
  • Be responsible for tender and proposal writing
  • Represent Solace Global Risk Ltd at customer meetings 
  • Develop and source Reseller/Channel Partner relationships globally
  • Sound knowledge of LinkedIn to digitally represent Solace Global
  • Contribute to service innovation, identify potential growth through adaptation of existing services and products
  • Participate in strategic business discussions to drive strategy and vision through existing accounts and prospects 
  • Nice to have: the ability to provide additional Risk Consultancy capability when required, supporting the BD team and Customer Success Manager with operational client discussions, work with Operations during incidents and consultancy tasks where appropriate
  • Comply with company policies and procedures

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in business/sales/marketing or similar applicable course and 4+ years’ experience in business development and/or Account Management
  • Minimum of 5 years Risk Management industry experience, experience in SaaS also desirable
  • Proven success B2B Business Development/Sales and achieving targets and helping sales teams achieve their targets
  • Skilled in using social media/LinkedIn and other networking tools to generate leads
  • Delivered growth in business units through sales of risk management/assistance services
  • Experienced in multi-service business development to small, medium and large corporate enterprises
  • Experienced in successfully running multiple customer accounts
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, able to persuade and influence senior decision makers
  • Exceptional presentation skills, able to deliver impactful presentations and sales pitches
  • Excellent team player, who is able to work effectively in a global team environment
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills and effective time management
  • An understanding of marketing principles and digital marketing
  • Success in selling service products through strategic partners
  • Experience of managing channel partners
  • Experience of collaboration with marketing to support messaging and sales
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative and complete tasks to deadlines
  • Experienced in the Microsoft Office suite including SharePoint

Key Relationships:

  • Position will interact with customers and prospects at all levels of management
  • Position will align with Marketing to support the BD effort and support our marketing, messaging, and branding
  • Commercial Team
  • Reporting to the Head of BD and MD

Other requirements of the job:

  • Prepared for international and national travel
  • Prepared to work outside of normal office hours when tenders, proposals, events, presentations, or projects dictate
  • Prepared to support ad hoc risk consultancy services
